Ricercate sugli otto toni / Thesaurum absconditum

In this volume a keyboard tablature of the Ricercari on the eight modes and of the Thesaurum absconditum is here offered to the organist with a thorough critical approach to the manuscript based on the earliest sources found in the “Biblioteca Corsiniana dell’Accademia dei Lincei” in Rome.
The numerous historical Renaissance organs restored over the past few decades in Italy provide the ideal opportunity of enjoying these wonderful compositions thanks to their ideal sonorous properties. It is not by chance that this edition has been assigned to Liuwe Tamminga who for many years has held the enviable position of Chief Organist of the Renaissance organs of the Basilica of S. Petronio in Bologna.
