The pieces here are a sort of Italian Book for Organ composed in 1996 for a French classical organ more or less idealized. Unlike the ‘Chaconne, “written in the same spirit, the piece can be played on an organ given to former meantone temperament, this combination does not sound good on a non equal temperament. We can play these pieces on an old organ that was restored loosely or on a modern instrument, drawing on ancient records, but without making it an absolute requirement.
